I want to live in a world in which creativity trumps all. And love isn’t so hard to recognize. Don’t you?
I Take the Long Way is where I compile all of my life stuff. It won’t take you long to figure out my lessons are hard-earned, but have proven to have incredible refining ability. Enjoy, and please don’t hesitate to comment. That pretty much makes my day.
As a new entrepreneur, creativity plays a bigger role; from deciding how to plan my day, just exactly WHEN I’m going to get that project finished (answer: midnight, likely), and how in the world I can process all of my ideas by Friday. Let’s not even talk about my lack of creativity when it comes to getting a 2 mile jog into a day I design 100% myself.
I’ve accumulated some skills over the years working for other people: getting to the bottom of event details, foreseeing gaps in programs and everyone’s comfort (including my boss’), and planning, documenting and generally showing up. When I’m creating – writing, sewing, hustling, I’m infusing my life and yours with whimsy and rap lyrics.
The Piperbee Market is my creative outlet.
Life in the 11 years since my divorce was final has been a tale; sort of like if Alice in Wonderland took place in the dark and twisty depths of Gringotts. I’d like to believe it’s all just been a dream and I’ll wake up to a cuddly kitten, but it’ll more likely be a Jabberwocky. Because: my luck.
